My Favorite Place - Cape Town!

Cape Town, South Africa: I visited Cape Town two summers ago, and the beautiful landscapes captivated me. From white sand beaches, to soaring mountains, to wild grasslands, South Africa has it all. If I had the opportunity, I wouldn't hesitate to go back! It's only an ocean away...The following three pictures (taken by me), capture only 10% (or less) of the amazing scenery you can find there:

  1. Those pictures are BEAUTIFUL, Smith: and how great that you were able to go to South Africa. I would love to go there someday! South Africa plays an important role in the history of modern India too because of Gandhi's time spent there in South Africa, which is where his ideas about freedom from colonial rule began to take shape. Maybe you will want to do a Gandhi-related project for this class! More about Gandhi in South Africa: Gandhi in South Africa

    1. Whoa! I didn't know Gandhi started out in South Africa ("started out" as in "developed his views" there)! I guess I have only nominally heard about him in relation to his works in India. 21 years in South Africa...The environment there would have definitely affected me, especially back then.

  3. Hey Smith! Wow, those pictures are beautiful! I love traveling but I haven't traveled much outside of the United States yet but I certainly plan to. It is so cool to see a place that has such diverse landscape. Giant green mountains right next to beautiful blue waters, I love it. I went to California last year and saw some beautiful views of the ocean off of some cliffs but nothing like these pictures of Cape Town.
